Title: Untitled (Los Angeles, California)Project title: Adolescence
Storytelling remains at the centre of my practice, and I am looking to pair portraits of young adults with observations of place. As in cinematography, my approach to photography
considers the sequence of frames: establishing shot, cutaway, medium shot, close up.
Although the project is about adolescence, there is an acknowledgment of a timeless feeling that is perhaps a bi-product of growing up in Maine. The work is geographically specific, but photography itself is a kind of fiction. The rose and tennis court here are a stand in for New England.
